Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a name or case number is entered into a search tool, the information is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and returns any result. Delta County Court Docket does not store or log those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send an email, we retain the message for correspondence and administration. It stays within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
A page request may cause servers to receive routine technical information about the visit, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Viewed pages and the time spent on them
- The referring site, when one is supplied
- Page-view timestamps
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a device. They may help measure general site use, such as frequently viewed pages and navigation patterns. Analytics providers aggregate that traffic information. Browser settings can block cookies, although doing so may affect some site functions.
What We Do With This Data
We use collected technical information to operate and improve the service. Uses may include:
- Maintaining the site and its performance
- Routing a search request to the selected partner service
- Assessing aggregate page use
- Finding and addressing technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may be interest-based
No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Delta County dockets or personal case-record information. It provides general routing information for the 47th Circuit Court, 94th District Court, Delta Probate Court, the County Clerk, and MiCOURT. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party records.
Access to Michigan court case records is governed by Michigan Court Rules, Chapter 8, including MCR 8.119, rather than this private policy. The Michigan Court Rules, Chapter 1 includes MCR 1.109 requirements for protected personal-information redaction.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the site's search boxes. Information entered in a tool is handled under that provider's privacy policy, not this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices.
Links to Other Websites
The site links to court, clerk, county, statewide-search, and outside-service pages. Selecting a link takes you to another website, whose privacy rules apply to that visit. Review those rules before providing personal information.
Some advertising partners may track activity across websites for advertising purposes. That activity occurs through their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics services used for traffic and performance measurement
- Advertising networks that serve site advertisements
- Government entities or law enforcement when a valid legal requirement applies
How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable security measures for the information we collect. Internet transmission and storage can never be made completely secure, so no protection against every unauthorized access or breach is guaranteed.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If we learn that a minor has supplied personal information, we will remove it when appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Michigan's public-records process is separate from this private site's data practices. The Michigan Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.235, addresses agency responses to sufficiently described written public-record requests. It does not require a private reference site to produce court records or change the court-record access rules described above. At a minimum, you may:
- Request a copy of personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of personal information, subject to lawful retention needs
- Ask about opting out of certain processing where applicable
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy. A revised policy takes effect when it is posted here and will carry an updated effective date.
Effective date: August 27, 2026
